Greg Howell was born in Brighton, Victoria, Australia, and grew up near the beaches of Port Phillip Bay. He was raised in a typical Aussie family of five. Greg's mother worked as a nurse and later became a radiology assistant, while his deceased father was a wool buyer/classifier and also a hobby farmer. His two sisters both still reside in Melbourne with their families. Greg's daughter also lives in Melbourne. Like his character Spacey, Greg was unremarkable at school but excelled in mischief and survived a lifetime of daredevil pursuits—from surfing and motorcycling to over fifty jobs, including actor, factory worker, security guard, national secretary, executive director, sustainable events manager, business owner, and surfing coach. Restless by nature, he bounced between suburbs, then took leaps to Sydney and the Gold Coast. Greg now lives in Agnes Water, Central Queensland, where he surfs, volunteers at the local op-shop, and serves as a Turtle Monitor. He is also active with a local environmental organisation.
Greg infuses his writing with lived experiences, salty resilience, and humour.

Go-Anna's fierce independence collides with Spacey's escape from suburbia, sparking a bond forged through humour, trauma, and salty...
